Anno Naturale

Luca Baldoni’s Anno naturale prophesies the days of lockdown and constitutes an almost metereopathic, epiphanic meditation on the advent of a tragic constraint: being static in the flux of the world. Thus, is born a unified poem, the catalogue of a humanity with Lucretian roots, men like plants, presences like herbs observed with earthly tenderness and a philosophical disposition to detail. 

The voice composes a herbarium of refractions, tangencies, and echoes between diverse natural and living creatures. It is willing to work on the language of poetry, not only through melodic lines but through the layered observation of a biology that becomes the botany of existence. And through an acquired science capable of marvelling, through poetic language, at the infinite multiplicity of species.
